That Fire Pit Commercial Was the First Time Snoop Dogg Ever Roasted a Marshmallow

It's the ultimate way to satisfy the munchies

A few weeks ago, Snoop Dogg said that he was "giving up smoke" — an apparent resolution to quit cannabis that turned out to be an ad for a smokeless fire pit called Solo Stove. The company's CEO John Merris has now opened up about the collab, and he has shared the factoid that the 52-year-old Snoop had never roasted a marshmallow before filming the commercial.

Merris told The Daily that the marketing company Martin Agency came up with the idea for the campaign, which Merris pitched to Snoop Dogg's agent and then the rapper himself, who "was on board in minutes." This took place within six weeks of Black Friday, so the whole campaign took just a few weeks to come together.

Funnily enough, The Daily's story contains this little nugget: "Merris said his favourite moment during the shooting of the video was watching Snoop roast his very first marshmallow, at 52 years old."

So apparently, Snoop Dogg isn't big on camping! Now that he's presumably got a smokeless fire pit in his yard, perhaps he will do it again soon. What could be a better way to satisfy the munchies?
