Europe on Horseback

BY I. KhiderPublished Aug 1, 2001

Well wrought click-no music with strong dub elements that can be better appreciated if the listener's stereo has a good low-end bass output. Bass is a major driving element for this album, and the rhythms are evenly paced, sometimes like clockwork with plenty of noise over top; so noisy at times that I think an espresso machine is used as part of the mix. The oddest yet most enjoyable track on Europe on Horseback is "Weakness Together," which sounds as if a chorus of cats are performing backup vocals to crunchy digital beats. Though this album is good, there is nothing that sets it apart from the hoards of other click-dub albums out there.
