Celebrating a decade of bringing some of the world's best jazz music to the Niagara Region, the 10th-anniversary edition of the TD Niagara Jazz Festival takes place this July 15 to 22. Today, the fest has revealed this year's full performance lineup.

Across two weekends and various locales, the 2023 iteration of Niagara Jazz will kick off on July 15 with the launch of the flagship Jazz Under the Stars event, with performances from award-winning singer-songwriter (and CBC radio personality) Laila Biali and her band, as well as Niagara's own John Sherwood Trio, at the Jackson-Triggs Winery amphitheatre. The following day (July 16) marks the festival's second annual Jazz Picnic, with Alex Pangman & Her Alleycats providing fresh takes on the Great American Songbook at Willowbank in Queenston.

The following Wednesday (July 19), the Netherlands' Wojtek Justyna Tree Oh! headline the Niagara Artists Centre rooftop in St. Catharines alongside a photography exhibit of snaps from the festival's first decade. Accompanied by the Qunicy Bullen Trio, New York's Cinnamon Jones will give a genre-spanning performance chock-full of soul at the Hare Wine Co. vineyard the next day (July 20). Berlin vibraphone phenomenon David Friedman will perform with his quartet at the Henry of Pelham Winery in St. Catharines on July 21.

Niagara Jazz will be rounded out by the return of its beloved free, family-friendly event — Music in the Park — on July 22. The location and performers remain under wraps, but you can expect various jazz and world music maestros, as well as local vendors, for the final hurrah of the anniversary celebration.

Tickets for the individual concerts and passes for the full summer of programming are on sale now via the festival's website.
