Picking up exactly where their debut, Tell All Your Friends, left off, Long Islands Taking Back Sunday have managed to produce an exact musical duplicate of their successful first release. Without bothering to expand into new musical or lyrical territory, the band stick to the formula that has got them this far and hey, if it aint broke, why fix it? As unadventurous as it is, the melodies remain catchy and the riffs remain driving. Perhaps the musical equivalents of a dinner at Boston Pizza, Taking Back Sunday are like emos Backstreet Boys. You want to hate them, but sometimes, you have to admit the songs are pretty good. While its nothing that will be worth listening to in nine months, itll keep a smile on your face until then.
