Manitoba's Summer Lights Music Festival Reveals Inaugural Lineup

The inaugural edition of Brandon, MB's Summer Lights Music Festival is set to take over the city early next month, and organizers have unveiled the lineup for the event's first year.

Taking place at the Keystone Centre Grounds on September 10, the single-day festival will feature headlining performances from Said the Whale, Joel Plaskett and Terra Lightfoot. Rounding out the lineup are Attica Riots, Begonia, Sol James, Crooked Brothers, Slow Leaves, the 204, Mitchell Mozdzen, Hannah Selyn, Mitchell Schimnowski, Okay Mann and Katie Macdonald. A songwriting circle will also feature a number of performers coming together in collaborative fashion.

In addition to the music, the festival is set to offer free camping, food and craft vendors, and free, locally made bannock and honey. Advance tickets can be found online here, with students and minors able to attend for $15 while general admission for those over 18 years comes to $20. Students and adults can pay $20 and $25, respectively, at the gate.
