Last year, Sufjan Stevens told us he would wait another five years after The Ascension before releasing another album. After dropping Convocations earlier this year and with the news we're getting today, we now know that to be a dang lie — as the artist has just announced plans for yet another new album.
His latest comes in the form of another collaborative outing, this time with his Asthmatic Kitty labelmate Angelo De Augustine. Together, they'll release A Beginner's Mind on September 24.
Today, the duo have shared a pair of new singles, "Olympus" and "Reach Out," the latter of which comes with its own self-shot music video starring Stevens and Augustine's adorable doggies, Joku and Charlie.
