Steven Wilson has kept busy with live albums, soundtracks and remix projects since releasing 2017's To the Bone, and the musician/producer has now returned with news of a follow-up.

Wilson will release new album THE FUTURE BITES on June 12 through Arts & Crafts. Nine tracks in length, the album was co-produced with David Kosten (Bat for Lashes, Everything Everything) and finds Wilson examining "contemporary addiction and the lasting effect of ever-increasing technology on our daily lives."

UPDATE (4/22, 5:30 p.m. ET): The album release has now been postponed until January 29, 2021.

A preview of the album's themes arrives today with "PERSONAL SHOPPER," which you can hear below. Inspired in part by acclaimed French director Olivier Assayas's 2016 film of the same name, Wilson's lyrics largely centre on consumerism, while his sonic palette draws on rock and electronica.

Wilson has also mapped out tour dates for the U.K. and Europe, with North American dates to follow at a later date. Find his current itinerary here.
