It's release week for Constantines man Steven Lambke, whose album Days of Heaven will be out on October 30 through You've Changed Records. Evidently, Steven is having a small kitchen party to celebrate the release, since he's got together with some friends to film a clip for the track "Memory Forever."
The song is a low-key rock tune with thrumming bass that seems like it might explode into a noisy chorus, but instead it just simmers sweetly and incorporates layers of atmosphere.
The simple accompanying clip was directed by Colin Medley. It consists of slo-mo head shots of Lambke, plus a couple of musician buddies: Tamara Lindeman (a.k.a. the Weather Station) and Ian Kehoe (of Attack in Black and Marine Dreams). They appear to be sitting around a kitchen table and are sometimes laughing, sometimes serious.
Exclaim! has the premiere of the video, and it can be seen below. Check out Lambke's tour schedule with Daniel Romano here.
