Listen to Starcrawler's Major Label Debut Album 'She Said'

They're also about to head out on a massive North American tour

Los Angeles rockers Starcrawler's third studio album and major label debut She Said is out today via Big Machine, and you can listen to it in full below.

After spending the summer touring with the likes of My Chemical Romance, Jack White, the Smile and Nick Cave, the band are about to embark on a massive North American tour, kicking off in L.A. with their release show tonight. Along the way, they'll also hit up Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver.

Influenced by the likes of the Breeders and Hole, guitarist Henri Cash said that She Said was written for a wider audience. "We wanted to make songs for everyone. For people that weren't just into punk rock," he said in a press release. This is well reflected in their surfy-yet-refined single "Thursday," which has a lyric video that was also released today.

While the pandemic helped Starcrawler focus on their craft, at one point Cash and bandleader Arrow de Wilde had to work with a Romeo and Juliet style of songwriting. "Henri would come to my window and play me demos," de Wilde said of their early pandemic methodology. Even with this, they were able to fixate on writing for the first time in a very long time. "We'd never really had time to be in one place," added Cash, "and then everything just hit at once and all of that build-up is what came out."
