'Star Wars' Soundtracks Compiled in Vinyl Box Set

Star Wars and vinyl soundtrack reissues are two of today's hottest commodities, so we're expecting the world to implode with this news: Early next year, all six original Star Wars movies will see their soundtracks reissued in a new vinyl box set.

Modern Vinyl points to an Amazon listing for Star Wars: The Ultimate Vinyl Collection.  The 11-disc set includes Williams' work for the beloved movie series, including iconic tracks like "The Imperial March" and, er, "Jar Jar's Introduction and the Swim to Otoh Gunga."

The audio for these soundtracks was transferred from their original LP masters at the highest possible resolution, then pressed to 180-gram vinyl. Each soundtrack is housed in a gatefold case, and the set's slipcase is embossed with silver foil.

If you're up for it, pre-order the Star Wars box here. It'll set to arrive in full on January 8.
