St. Vincent to Release New Single "New York" Next Week?

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 22, 2017

St. Vincent (a.k.a. Annie Clark) hasn't released an album since her 2014 self-titled effort, but that could be about to change. According to Universal Music's Polish division, the project is set to return with a new single next week.

In a now deleted tweet, they announced that a song titled "New York" is reportedly set to be unleashed next Friday (June 30). It read: "Już 30 czerwca premiera nowego singla St. Vincent 'New York'!" If you're not brushed up on your Polish, Google Translate tells us that means, "As of June 30, the premiere of St. Vincent's new single 'New York'!"

Keen followers may recognize that tune as the one Clark debuted live last year, while dressed up like a toilet.

In other St. Vincent news, Clark announced plans for an upcoming tour yesterday (June 21) — though as of yet, there are no Canadian stops scheduled. See a trailer for the upcoming jaunt here.

Of course, since releasing St. Vincent, Clark has kept busy with contributing to the Girls and Bob's Burgers soundtracks, directing a horror flick and pitching her in-flight songwriting talents to airlines. She also won a little award known as a Grammy.

Below, relive her lavatory-themed performance of "New York."
