Following the release of their debut full-length album Bright Green Field — which earned a hefty dose of praise here at Exclaim! — UK post-punk outfit Squid have announced plans to bring their new material across the pond for a quick North American tour in early 2022.
They'll kick off the trek in Portland, OR, on March 7, before making their way north of the border for their first-ever Canadian show at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on March 9. Later that month, they'll head to Toronto for a performance at the Horseshoe Tavern on the 18th, making their way east the next day (March 19) for a show at Montreal's Bar Le Ritz PDB. The band will wrap up in Boston on the 25th.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday (December 10) at 10 a.m. local time.
The five-piece's debut arrived on May 7 through Warp Records. It made Exclaim!'s 50 Best Albums of the year, while lead single "Narrator" landed among Exclaim!'s 30 Best Songs of 2021.
