This November will mark three years since Toronto punks Soupcans issued their album Good Feelings. It will also mark the release of the full-length follow-up, Soft Party, which will arrive on November 17 through Telephone Explosion Records.
The album was recorded by James Tooth at Boxcar Sound Recording Studios in Hamilton. According to an announcement, "The Soupcans have never sounded more terrifying than they do on Soft Party — 13 lethal detonations running the spectrum from impenetrable downtempo filth-jams to high velocity speed-punk. With tunes corrosive enough to peel the paint off your walls, smash out your windows, fuck-up your plumbing; the Soft Party lurches recklessly and dangerously across the contemporary musical landscape and refuses to submit to the void."
That's the album cover above. The tracklist hasn't yet been announced, but it will presumably include "Razor Face," a song that the band premiered as a live performance video a few months ago. See that clip below.
Soft Party can be pre-ordered right here.
