The Soupcans

'Good Feelings' (album stream)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 2, 2012

When reviewing the Soupcans' live show last year, we observed, "Fans of the early American post-punk underground, take note: You will dig this." Now, the noisy Toronto punk act are gearing up to release their debut LP.

But before Good Feelings arrives on November 13 through Telephone Explosion, you can stream the whole thing online.

The album was recorded in the unconventional environment of a bicycle repair show with producer Don Pyle (of Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet). A press release explains, "Good Feelings takes the band's live brutality and adds a chainsaw sheen of distorted keyboard, otherworldly guitar overdubs and background shrieks straight out of an exorcism."

Take a listen to the fast and aggressive 11-track collection below. If you're suitably impressed by what you hear, pre-order a copy of Good Feelings directly from Telephone Explosion.
