After offering up an outtake of "Rusty Cage" yesterday (October 6), Soundgarden have now detailed the rest of their massive Badmotorfinger anniversary package. The remastered album lands in four different ways on November 18 via UMe/A&M.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1991 album, the heftiest of the various re-released versions of Badmotorfinger is a seven-disc super deluxe edition. The first CD is a full remaster of the original 12-song album. From there, the band have included a full disc of studio outtakes, from alternate performances of "Rusty Cage" and "Jesus Christ Pose," to a version of "New Damage" that features a performance from Queen's Brian May.
Also included is Live at the Paramount, which stretches a 19-song live set from 1992 that was recorded at Seattle's Paramount Theatre across two CDs. These never-before-released recordings include performances of material from Badmotorfinger, as well as Louder Than Love tracks like "Gun" and "Big Dumb Sex." This performance is also catalogued in the box set with a DVD.
A second visual offering puts the band's old Motorvision home video release onto DVD for the first time and adds a number of vintage live performances to the music video collection. Finally, a Blu-ray disc showcases a 5.1 surround mix of Badmotorfinger and tacks on a few B-sides and music videos.
In total, the box set will boast 79 previously unreleased tracks. And if that wasn't enough, the box features features a "52-page book with a 25th anniversary silver foil Badmotorfinger icon cover, newly designed art, unreleased photos, and commemorative testimonials from fellow musicians and peers. The package also contains a 12"x12" 3D Badmotorfinger silver foil icon lenticular, four 8"x10" photo cards featuring each band member, a 5" Badmotorfinger silver foil icon sticker, a 4" triangular spark plug silver foil sticker, and a 5" newly designed 25th anniversary Badmotorfinger icon iron-on patch."

As for the other less extravagant packages, the 12-song classic will also be offered up as a one CD remaster, while two-disc deluxe edition packages the original album with a smaller selection of outtakes and live cuts. And for vinyl fans, a two-LP pressing stretches the original Badmotorfinger across three sides of vinyl, with the fourth side featuring an exclusive etching.
