The Sound of Music Festival is returning to Burlington, ON, this year, and while we don't have a festival lineup announcement just yet, organizers have made additions to their kickoff event Live on the Lake.

USS and Barns Courtney have been add to the concert, which already included the likes of Sum 41, Third Eye Blind and Cory Marks. They will all play on June 13 at Burlington's Spencer Smith Park.

"We have worked hard to provide a day of music that will entertain audiences from all demographics and a range of genres," said executive director Myles Rusak. "We've already blended country, rock, pop, and punk, and now we're adding one of the most electric young UK artists in Barns Courtney. USS is one of our most in demand festival artists and adds another experience element to the day."

As previously reported, the ticketed kickoff event is used to help offset the cost of the main Sound of Music Festival, which is free to festivalgoers.

Advanced tickets for Live on the Lake are priced at $60 and available through the festival's website.
