Published Oct 15, 2013Roving Ontario sludge metal act Biipiigwan were originally scheduled to release their second LP, Man, this past summer. But after an ambitious North American spring tour, the band decided to change the title to Something for Everyone; Nothing for Anyone. Thankfully, the wait is over to find out exactly what that sounds like, as the album is streaming in full on Exclaim.ca ahead of its October 22 release via Sludge Hummer.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Canadian grindcore mastermind Topon Das (Fuck the Facts), the album picks up where last year's Nibaak EP left off, delivering even more ferocious vocals and riff-heavy licks.
"This record is different people reacting in their own ways to frustration, anxiety, and anger with the ludicrous current state of human existence in a first-world society founded upon the tenets of greed, patriarchy, and racism," the band writes in a press release. "Plus, yelling and playing really loud is fun."
