Solange Will Not Be Performing at Osheaga This Weekend

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 4, 2017

Solange made an unexpected appearance at an Incubus concert in New Orleans the other night, and now it looks as if she'll be leaving fans in Montreal saying "Wish You Were Here" this weekend.

The singer has pulled out of her upcoming Osheaga appearance, and will not be performing at the festival. She was initially slated to grace the stage tomorrow evening (August 5).

The festival announced the lineup change this morning (August 4), citing "unforeseen production issues out of [Solange's] and the festival's control" as the reason for the cancellation.

Organizers also issued an apology on the singer's behalf, noting that she hopes to return to see fans in Montreal "real soon."

Solange cancelled an appearance at Boston Calling earlier this year for similar reasons. She did, however, perform at Ontario's WayHome last weekend. Relive her recent Canadian festival set here.

As previously reported, Osheaga kicks off today (August 4) and runs until Sunday (August 6) at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal. See the initial day-by-day lineup here, and visit the official festival website for any additional information and updates.
