Earlier this year, Solange Knowles announced the creation of her vanity label Saint Records, and now the R&B singer has unveiled the imprint's first release: a compilation dubbed Saint Heron. The collection arrives November 12.
Knowles tweeted her plans today (October 22), revealing the LP's artwork, which you can see up above, in the process. Referring to the set as "a compilation of contemporary genre defying R&B visionaries," she later added that the collection will include music from herself, as well as rising stars Jhene Aiko and Sampha.
Though a tracklisting has not yet been delivered, Knowles did confirm that Saint Heron will feature an extended version of Los Angeles-based singer Kelela's "Go All Night" single, which had previously appeared in snippet form on her recent Cut 4 Me mixtape. You can stream the Morri$-produced number down below.
Other artists attached to the project are singer Cassie, BC Kingdom, Jade De La Fleur, Kingdom, Iman Omari, Petite Noir, Starchild, and India Shawn.
In addition to the compilation announcement, Knowles also launched a Saint Heron website, which she described as "a new music & cultural hub that celebrates and cultivates the conversations of our community!" It currently features interviews with Kelela and artist Rashaad Newsome, and more.
It was previously reported that Knowles' as-yet detailed follow-up to her True EP will arrive sometime in 2014 through Saint/Sony MusicSony Music.
