Soft Serve delivered their debut self-titled full-length back in 2015, and now the band have followed it up with a new EP titled Trap Door.
The five-song offering was recorded in the group's former Vancouver stomping grounds more than a year ago, before singer/guitarist Kyle Thiessen uprooted himself from the West Coast city and moved to Toronto. The tracks were laid down at Luna Studios, then mixed and mastered by Jay Arner.
Amongst the new tunes are odes to local bars ("Pat's Pub Open Blues Jam"), Gucci Mane-inspired arena rockers about hating modern technology ("Camera Phone") and a grand finale that the band believe would lend itself well to a theme song for Guy Fieri's next food show ("Soft Soap").
The self-released Trap Door EP is out now, and you can give it a listen down below.
