"She's Into Me" (video)

Iowa indie popsters SIRES are set to release their debut album Soul for Sale this fall, but before the entire album arrives, Exclaim! is giving you an exclusive first look at the video for lead single "She's Into Me."

The album hears frontman and band namesake Dylan Sires turning the seven deadly sins into pop songs — embracing the hedonistic, consumerist side of humanity and making an album that was meant to be heard by the masses.

"She's Into Me" is the first offering from the upcoming record, and on the surface it takes inspiration from a PBS documentary about the Dave Clark Five. The subtext, however, adds much more depth and darkness to the deceptively upbeat sounding tune.

"The song is about using someone's romantic interest to your advantage," Sires tells Exclaim! "It's bare bones and primordial in nature, which is where the video came from. We wanted to make a video that was part horror and part teenage wet dream."

Soul for Sale is officially out on October 21 through Station 1 Records. Right now, though, watch the band bring their vision to the screen in the video for "She's Into Me" below.
