Simon & Garfunkel Treated to 'Complete Albums Collection' Box Set

The Christmas shopping season is right around the corner, and you know what that means: lots of box sets and anthologies from classic artists. This includes Simon & Garfunkel, who will be treated to a catalog-spanning set called The Complete Albums Collection, which will drop on November 24 through Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings.

As the title indicates, this collection brings together the iconic folk duo's five studio albums — 1964's Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., 1966's Sounds of Silence and Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, 1968's Bookends, and 1970's Bridge over Troubled Water — plus the 1968 soundtrack from The Graduate. These have been newly remastered from the analogue tapes.

There are also four live albums: The Concert in Central Park (recorded in 1981 and released in 1982), Live from New York City 1967 (recorded in 1967, released in 2002), Old Friends Live on Stage (recorded in 2003 and released in 2004), and Live 1969 (recorded in 1967, released in 2008).

The 1972 compilation Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits is also thrown in for good measure, making a grand total of 11 discs.

A press release doesn't make any mention of vinyl, so we're guessing that this set is CD-only.
