California lo-fi wonders Sic Alps delivered a four-song tribute seven-inch to the Tronics this past April, but the Bay Area band will get back to giving us originals this fall when they issue a new self-titled LP.
Sic Alps, the outfit's fifth full-length, arrives September 11 through Drag City. The ten-song set follows last year's Napa Asylum LP.
You can get a taste of what to expect via first single/album opener "Glyphs," an especially ornate psych pop romp featuring a string arrangement by Joanna Newsom band member/arranger Ryan Francesconi. You can download the cut here.

As previously reported, Sic Alps will hit the road with Thee Oh Sees in September, and Canadian dates are lined up in Calgary and Vancouver. Thee Oh Sees' new LP Putrifiers II also drops September 11.
