Shimmering Stars

"Role Confusion" (video)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 17, 2014

Before Shimmering Stars let us explore the Bedrooms of the Nation with them, the Vancouver indie pop unit are liberating an animated video for the record's "Role Confusion," which comes with a pro-animal point of view.

Scored by a fuzzy pop rock arrangement, the clip first finds a bunch of ultra-blue caged animals being held captive by a carnival's top-hatted baddie. Coming to the rescue is a pack of pipe smoking wolves, who pluck a pair of lupine pals and phonograph from the circus scene to spin Shimmering Stars' tunes at woodlands party. Nature and technology don't always seem to go hand in hand, though, and you'll find out why down below.

Bedrooms of the Nation drops August 13, while the band have a quick tour starting up next week.

Tour dates:

07/24 Edmonton, AB - Wunderbar
07/26 Saskatoon, SK - Capitol Music Club
07/28 Winnipeg, MB - The Windsor
07/29 Regina SK - O'Hanlon's
07/31 Calgary AB - Vern's Tavern
08/01 Kamloops BC - Garage Mahal
