Published Jul 03, 2014The Sheepdogs guitarist Leot Hanson has gone off-leash, with the band confirming that he's left the herd to focus on running Saskatoon venue Capitol Music Club.
The band broke the news on Facebook, writing, "It's with a heavy heart that we announce that guitarist Leot Hanson is no longer with the Sheepdogs. Leot has been with us for eight great years, and we wish him all the best with his future ventures especially his new bar in Saskatoon, the Capitol... This is going to be a tough transition and we appreciate everyone's support at this time."
With Hanson concentrating on Capitol Music Club, which opened last May, his six-string duties will reportedly be filled by Imaginary Cities' Rusty Matyas. The band have a handful of summer concert dates coming up, and reported that they'll be hitting a recording studio this fall to track the follow-up to 2012's Patrick Carney-produced self-titled LP.
