Most memorable or inspirational gig and why?

My babysitter took me to see Van Halen. It was most memorable because I got bombarded by a stranger (I was 11 ) who picked me up and used me as a shield to get to the front of the stage. Once he got us to the stage he took off leaving me in front of Eddie Van Halen where I longed for the water fountain.

What has been your career high and low?

All of it.

What should everyone shut up about?

Singer-songwriters.

What trait do you like and dislike most about yourself?

I dislike everything about myself so there are no traits.

What would make you kick someone out of your band and/or bed, and have you?

What? I don't get it.

When I think of Canada I think:

The Canadian border, Molasses, Julie Doiron, Montreal and Toronto.

What is your vital daily ritual?

Washing my hands.

How do you spoil yourself?

By doing nothing.

What was your most memorable day job?

Being the Easter Bunny at the mall.

If I wasn't playing music I would be:

Living in an mental institution.

What is your greatest fear?

Being me.

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

Deafening high-pitched voice.

What makes you want to take it off and get it on?

Pass.

Strangest brush with celebrity:

Joey Ramone — he used my mom's bathroom, back in the day.

Who would be your ideal dinner guest, living or dead, and what would you serve them?

My dead grandmother and I would serve her a fine Southern meal.

What does your mom wish you were doing instead?

She could care less.
