After sharing the details of his forthcoming Revelations LP with us last month, Shamir has now announced plans to take the new record on the road with a short winter tour.
The trek will see the artist play 10 dates throughout the month of December in the United States and Canada. Peaer will provide support for the first three dates in Columbus, Chicago and Minneapolis, while Partner will join the run from the Detroit date onward.
The tour will bring Shamir and company to Canada for a pair of dates in Toronto and Montreal. December 9 will see the bill take the stage at the Drake Hotel, before an evening at Montreal's Belmont on December 10.
Shamir has also shared a new video for "Straight Boy." Directed by Ryan Carpenter, the clip focuses on "white washing and queer bating in media."
"It's about how frustrating it was for me to have my whole identity picked apart at a young age just to see straight white men use it as an aesthetic choice," Shamir added in a statement. "The video, quite unequivocally depicts the process of white washing and the repudiation of the queer and people of colour who pioneered."
