Scratch Acid Announce Reunion Tour, Play Toronto

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 2, 2011

Earlier this year, cult '80s noise rock outfit Scratch Acid announced that they would be playing a reunion gig at the Jeff Mangum-curated ATP festival in the UK this December, while also hinting at some upcoming tour dates in North America. Turns out the once Austin, TX-based band weren't bluffing, as they've just let loose the info for the trip.

Scratch Acid will take their terrifying and wiry post-punk tunes on the road this November for a short stretch on the East Coast, including a stop at Toronto's Lee's Palace on November 11, before they head over to Minehead for ATP. From there they'll play three more shows on the West Coast of the United States. Check out the schedule below.

This isn't the first time the influential rockers got back together. They played three shows in Austin, Chicago and Seattle back in 2006. While it doesn't seem like any Scratch Acid goodies will surface in time for the gigs, members David Yow and David Wm. Sims subsequent project, the celebrated Jesus Lizard, just issued the live Club DVD.
