After sharing singles "Tossing & Turning" and "Act Like We're in Love" earlier this year, Sam Cash & the Romantic Dogs are finally ready to unleash Tongue-In-Cheek Vows. Before the album arrives, Exclaim! is giving you the chance to hear the entire thing.
Produced by Ian Blurton (Weakerthans, Amy Millan), the 11-track effort is marked by Cash's sharp songwriting sense. Cash wrote the record "during a three- or four-year period" beginning at the age of 19 — which he describes as "a pretty exciting time for anyone."
"What I love most about songs are those moments when you hear something and it hits you in a very specific way, and you're not even thinking about what the writer's intentions are," Cash explained in a statement. "That's the ultimate effect I would like my music to have on people, when they can make their own connection, which is just as real and meaningful as what was in my head when I wrote the song."
Tongue-In-Cheek Vows will seek to achieve that artist-to-listener connection when it arrives on March 25 through Cameron House Records/Warner Music Canada, but you can get a head start by listening to the entire album right now in the player below.
