Said the Whale are set to play one of their most ambitious shows yet: the Canadian pop rock staples have just announced a concert with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.

The show takes place at the Orpheum in Vancouver on April 19, 2023. Tickets are on sale now, and a description promises that this "one-night-only performance" will find the band "trading in guitars, drums, and bass for the full symphonic forces of the VSO in a unique and unforgettable concert experience."

Watch singer-guitarists Tyler Bancroft and Ben Worcester announce the show in the video below.

Said the Whale's most recent album, last year's Dandelion, features strings from members of the VSO.

Said the Whale released the outtakes compilation B-Sides + Rarities last month.
