Ryan Hemsworth Announces 'Alone for the First Time' LP, Premieres New Video

BY Josiah HughesPublished Oct 9, 2014

Busy Haligonian Ryan Hemsworth is refusing to slow down. In addition to his enormous fall tour, the artist has now announced the proper follow-up to his 2013 LP Guilt Trips.

The album is called Alone for the First Time and features seven new tracks from the artist. Despite the record's title, it sees Hemsworth working with plenty of guests, including Alex G, Lontalius, Kotomi & DOSS, the GTW and Little Cloud.

Of course, there's also an appearance from Dawn Golden on the album's excellent lead single "Snow in Newark." The previously released track now has its own video, which was shot in Nepal by Martin Pariseau.

Regarding the clip, Hemsworth said in a statement, "This is the second part to the video for 'One For Me' — my quest to get out of these clubs and find something different.... It was shot over a week in Nepal and I tried to take everything in; overwhelmed in a different way than usual and a hiatus from necessary evils."

You'll find the video for "Snow in Newark" and the tracklisting for Alone for the First Time below, where there's also all of Hemsworth's upcoming tour dates. Alone for the First Time will arrive on November 4 via Last Gang/Secret Songs. You can pre-order it here.
