He joked that his and Moore's relationship was "doomed from the start" because she didn't like the Melvins or Blade Runner, then added "If only I could remember the start."
She didn't like the Melvins or BladeRunner. Doomed from the start... If only I could remember the start lol https://t.co/wbMqzJFRAp

"When someone told me we got married I thought they were joking," he later elaborated. "Then I realized how many painkillers I was taking. Honestly there weren't enough to numb the shock. Gollygooops."

In slightly more vague terms, he then compared their marriage to getting "stuck to the spiritual equivalent of a soggy piece of cardboard."
Sometimes you get stuck to the spiritual equivalent of a soggy piece of cardboard. But it rains on net-a-porter everyday when you're trapped inside yourself

I'll take my pride, any day https://t.co/JYXw3crbQi
Joking aside, though, he also shared a couple of posts for #WorldMentalHealthDay, sharing his own experience of having a nervous breakdown and encouraging people to be kind to one another — even if he has a tendency to be sarcastic and "bark back."

I had a nervous breakdown and didn't even know.
Don't be ashamed. Reach out and get help.
Don't let anyone kick you when you're down.

The thing about not being perfect is NOBODY is perfect. We all have our shit. But you can choose to lift a person up, help a person who is down or you can punish. I am sarcastic and I bark back. But on #WorldMentalHealthDay I would like to say, Choose Love. It might save a life

The Twitter drama all seems to stem from Moore's comments in the new issue of Glamour. She told the magazine that the marriage was "not the smartest decision," and that she herself felt "spiritually and fundamentally stuck."
"I don't feel guilty for it. I don't fault myself for it," she added. "When people said, 'I'm sorry,' I was like, 'No. Sorry would have been had I stayed in a very unhealthy situation.' I didn't. I found my way out. And when I did, things opened back up again."
Moore is currently engaged to Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith — who recently got a shout-out from Adams himself.
This is a great record in a time where people need them.

May every great song find their rightful listener... Any fan of mine will love this.
With respect. XO https://t.co/zHHlbKEIUS
So maybe there isn't that much bad blood? Or perhaps we'll just have to wait for Adams' next record to find out what's really going on here.
