Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, who is gearing up to release a debut album with new project Envy of None, is giving his faithful a chance to be the envy of all in bringing a selection of his iconic instruments to auction.

In May, Lifeson will auction over 100 items, including guitars, gear and memorabilia from across his career as part of Julien's "Music Icons" auction, set to run May 20, 21 and 22.

Of the over 60 vintage guitars set to hit the auction block, Lifeson's white 1976 custom-built Gibson ES-355TD is the top prize. Featured on every Rush album from 1977's A Farewell to Kings through 1996's Test for Echo, the guitar has also been played by Lifeson on Rush tours from 1977 to 2015, in addition to many of the band's music videos.

Lifeson shared of the instrument, "I purchased this guitar in 1976, it was custom-built in Kalamazoo just for me. It has been my main guitar and is the iconic Alex Lifeson guitar."

Other axes up for grabs include a 1971 Jose Ramirez acoustic guitar heard on albums like Hemispheres in "The Trees" and "La Villa Strangiato," a 1976 Gibson Dove acoustic guitar Lifeson used to compose "Closer to the Heart," and a 1980 custom Hentor Sportscaster the artist favoured for soloing.

Additional items include concert and tour ephemera, passes, photographs and original lyric sheets. You can spot a few of the aforementioned guitars in the videos below.

If these instruments happen to be out of your price range, there's still a chance to win a Lifeson Signature Les Paul guitar.

Lifeson and his Envy of None bandmates will release their self-titled debut in April, and you can find further details here.
