Royce Da 5'9" Cuts Across Canada on Upcoming Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 6, 2012

Canadian hip-hop fans get ready: Royce Da 5'9" starts up a Canuck trek this week. The Detroit rapper had a stellar 2011, with the Slaughterhouse spitter not only releasing his solo effort Success Is Certain but also the Bad Meets Evil EP, Hell: The Sequel, with collaborator Eminem. Without set lists to go by, it's hard to say for sure, but chances are pretty good that Royce Da 5'9" will rep both records on the trip (sans Em, though).

The 14-show tour starts up this Thursday (February 9) at Sydney, NS's Joan Harris Pavilion, and sees the rhymer travelling all the way out west to Vancouver Island before wrapping up the trip in Waterloo, ON. You can see the full schedule down below.

"I really enjoy touring in Canada because the people are so live. They have so much energy and show so much love up there," Royce Da 5'9" said in a statement. "I can't wait to reconnect with friends there."

In other news, the previously announced Slaughterhouse album, featuring Royce, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden and Crooked I, may have missed its intended late 2011 street date, but the album is rumoured to be released this May.
