Rodriguez Cancels Vancouver Show

Documentary-starring cult hero Rodriguez was preparing to tour North America this spring, but Vancouver fans who were counting on seeing the Searching for Sugar Man star in person will have to wait until a later date, since at least part of the outing has been cancelled.

An announcement from Vancouver promoters Timbre Concerts reads, "Unfortunately, Rodriguez has cancelled some upcoming dates including his upcoming Vancouver show on Friday April 26th, 2013 at the Commodore Ballroom." Refunds will be available at point of purchase.

There's no word as to when or if Rodriguez will make up the cancelled show, but Timbre noted, "We hope to announce a rescheduled date as soon as possible."

It's currently not clear why the show was cancelled, nor how many dates have been axed. His website doesn't yet offer any further information, and the latest update on Facebook noted that he'll be playing Amsterdam in May.
