After a run that left music fans dizzy with options every weekend of the summer, organizers are starting to pull out of the game at alarming (if inevitable) rate. Squamish and Wolfe Island are both taking a year off, and even emo tween tradition Warped Tour decided to skip its Canadian stops this year. Now, Riot Fest has announced that it will not be coming to Toronto in 2016, either.
The news was announced via Facebook, with the festival citing complications regarding timing and resources as the reasons for staying stateside this year. Organizers thanked fans for their support over the last few years and "have every hope that we'll be back in Toronto in the near future," but will only be moving ahead with events in Denver and Chicago this year.
