As part of their Halloween celebrations today (and for finding a gym Anthony Kiedis wouldn't be thrown out of), Red Hot Chili Peppers surprised a school this morning with a live performance in full Halloween costume.
Drummer Chad Smith and a few lucky audience members posted footage of the four-piece tearing through "Can't Stop" while dressed up for the occasion. Smith wrote on Twitter, "Who rocks out at 9:30am at my kids' school?....We do!"
The cellphone footage, seen below, finds Flea donning a skeleton costume while slapping the bass, while Smith is seen sporting a Guy Fawkes mask and a shocking white wig.
Kiedis is clad in a red jacket and shorts, complete with a mask, while guitarist Josh Klinghoffer hid behind a pair of shades and some shoulder-length green hair.
Recent social media posts from both Smith and Flea indicate that Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently at work on new music. The band last released The Getaway in 2016.
