Rammstein drummer Christoph Schneider has issued a statement on the allegations against his bandmate, Till Lindemann — who is currently under investigation for sexual misconduct by German authorities.
Last month, a fan named Shelby Lynn came forward on social media, claiming she was drugged at the band's pre-show party in Vilnius. She accused Lindemann of pouring her a shot laced with drugs, which apparently left her bruised and vomiting for 24 hours after the concert, as well as claiming the frontman stormed off angrily when she refused to have sex with him when they met in the below-stage room during the show's intermissions.
Rammstein denied the allegations, but Lynn's viral Twitter thread prompted others to come forward with similar stories of being "recruited" and "groomed for sex" at the band's "Row 0" parties.
In a statement posted to Instagram (translated from German using Google Translate), Schneider revealed that Lindemann had "distanced himself" from the rest of the band in recent years and "created his own bubble"; his parties are not the band's official parties. Nonetheless, the drummer doesn't think "anything criminally relevant" happened in Lynn's case, but admitted that "certain structures have grown that went beyond the limits and values of the other band members."
He continued, "I don't want this whole public dispute about our band to feed the extremes: neither the beast social media, which has not yet been tamed by our society, nor paternalistic tendencies to deny women in their mid-20s the ability to make self-determined decisions about their sexuality and also by no means victim blaming, so that people continue to date to talk about it if something happened to them. I wish for a calm, level-headed reflection and processing, also in our band."

Certain structures have grown that went beyond the limits and values of the other band members. It is also important to us that Till's parties are not confused with our official after-show parties.

With their own people, their own parties, their own projects. That made me sad, definitely.
