Mariah Carey — a.k.a. the Queen of Christmas — just dropped a 2019 update on her 1994 holiday classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You."
Twenty-five years after the song's initial release, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" finally made the Billboard Hot 100 list, catapulting itself into the No. 1 slot earlier this week. To celebrate, Mariah has gifted us all with a shiny (and highly choreographed) new music video.
"We wanted to make a modern classic," said Carey about the fresh visuals. "It's kind of the opposite of the original video… This is more of a production."
Carey has been celebrating her 2019 holiday season with a load of Christmastime activity, including a performance of "Oh Santa" on The Late Late Show, as well as starring in her very own Amazon Music documentary Mariah Carey Is Christmas! all about her newly minted No. 1 holiday hit.
