Quebec's FIMAV Gets Colin Stetson, Guy Thouin, John Zorn for 2023 Edition

The long-running fest returns to Victoriaville from May 15 to 21

The Festival International de Musique Actuelle (FIMAV) returns to Victoriaville, QC, for its 39th edition this spring, and organizers have now shared the full lineup of performers.

Running from May 15 to 21, this year's acts include Elliott Sharp / Colin Stetson / Billy Martin / Payton Macdonald, Guy Thouin & L'ensemble infini, Joe Sorbara / Matthias Mainz, François Houle / Kate Gentile / Alexandra Hawkins, John Zorn, Lori Freedman, Tashi Dorji / Dave Rempis, Fred Frith and more.

Attendees will be treated to unforgettable performances by artists from nearly 20 different countries. Every concert will be the premiere of that particular show, with two world-firsts, seven North American debuts, nine Canadian premieres and one Quebec launch. FIMAV's 2023 programming also includes screenings of two experimental films, entitled Iconoclastes québécois and Paysages argentiques.
