Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2024, MUTEK — Montreal's premiere festival dedicated to electronic music and digital creativity — has announced its first wave of artists for this year's edition, taking place August 20 to 25 in the heart of the city's Quartier des Spectacles.

Among this year's performers are in-demand saxophonist Colin Stetson, scene mainstay Marie Davidson, Toronto-based producer Ciel, avant-garde composer Kara-Lis Coverdale, multidisciplinarian Martin Messier, DJ Fred Everything, Victoria-based trio Cobblestone Jazz, post-industrialists Factory Floor, techno maverick Mathew Jonson, and a new project from the prolific Patrick Watson called Film Scores for No One.

The full festival programming will be unveiled in May. MUTEK Passports and weekend passes are on sale now at an early-bird rate, with discounts available for students and groups. Each purchase supports EarthPercent, the Brian Eno-founded climate emergency charity.
