Wintersleep frontman Paul Murphy has announced a new album through his solo project POSTDATA. Run Wild is out September 22 on Paper Bag Records, and the lead single "Mine the Sea" is streaming now.
In a statement, Murphy said that he's pushing POSTDATA's sound into new directions. "I felt like it was time to take POSTDATA someplace new, and be a little more free with what it is," he said. "I was trying to go all-out stylistically, and trying to flesh out all the different places that it could actually take it. I wanted to give it more space, allow it to go wherever it needed to."
Fans can get a taste of that by checking out "Mine the Sea" below. The video, directed by Griffin O'toole, is inspired by Radiohead's "House of Cards." Run Wild's tracklist is below that.
Run Wild is the follow-up to 2021's Twin Flames. Wintersleep's most recent album is 2019's In the Land Of.
