Following last year's celebration of the event's silver anniversary in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia Music Week (NSMW) is back for 2023. Artists, fans and industry professionals will gather in Yarmouth/Kespukwitk, NS, from November 2 to 5, to celebrate the province's ever-fertile music scene.
The full lineup of performers for the 2023 edition of NSMW has now been unveiled, boasting appearances from the likes of Halifax hero Rich Aucoin, Paul Murphy's POSTDATA, Exclaim! New Faves alumni Keeper E., Like a Motorcycle and Jah'Mila, alongside the likes of Sluice, Reeny Smith, Good Dear Good, Alanna Matty, Peanut Butter Sunday, Crossed Wires, Willie Stratton, the Town Heroes, Terra Spencer, Leanne Hoffman, Kilmore, Jon Hines and Carleton Stone.
Organizers also suggest keeping an eye out for some special homegrown rising stars: the aforementioned reggae revolutionary Jah'Mila, Syrian-Lebanese rapper Shanii, the Abegweit First Nation pop artist DeeDee Austin, Palestinian MC BASYL and Nigerian-born Afrobeats aficionado aRENYE.
Wristbands that provide access to the entire festival — as well as Delegate (access to all showcases, conference sessions, mixers and special events) and Day Passes — are on sale here. Music Nova Scotia members get 30 percent off Delegate Passes through the Member Benefit Portal.
