Pop Montreal will return to the city its named after this fall, and organizers have just unveiled the first round of performers that will be playing the 2016 edition of the festival.
Bringing together a collection of "the weirdos, the influencers, the icons and the groundbreakers," the lineup currently boasts Colin Stetson, the Kills, Holy Fuck, Jerusalem in My Heart, Wally Badarou, Angel Olsen, John Waters, 69 Boyz, Uniiqu3, Michael Angelo, Psychic TV, Diet Cig, Les Hôtesses d'Hilaire, Groenland, Seth Bogart, Acid Priest, Allah-Las, American Lips, Craig Cardiff, D.R.A.M., Mourn, Nicole Dollanganger, Sonic Avenues, Steve Adamyk Band and Wolves in the Throne Room.
Many more artists are expected to be announced in the coming months, with a schedule that will ultimately showcase more that 450 acts.
In the lead-up to Pop Montreal's flagship festival, there will also be an affiliated tour across Europe this spring that finds Foxtrott, Wake Island and L.A. Foster crossing the Atlantic together.
