Upon first glance, one might think they’re the dictionary definition of "girl group.” The Montreal four-piece has keyboards front and centre, and the fresh-faced musicians all look like they’d be barred from playing venues serving alcohol. But as the songs progressed, with titles such as "I Heard You Got Action,” it didn’t take long to figure out that lyrically, the band gives Liz Phair a run for her sex-obsessed money. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. A dark, late set track with a riff lifted from Black Sabbath brought on a mostly male mini-mosh, which some of the more fragile female fans standing nearby didn’t appreciate.
