Pet Shop Boys are coming back into our lives with a new single from a new EP, and they're using the moment to put U.S. President Donald Trump in the crosshairs.

The track is called "Give Stupidity a Chance," which has just arrived via a new lyric video. While the U.K. duo don't specifically name Trump, the group's Neil Tennant explained that it's a satirical song and its lyrics are "about the poor quality of political leadership in the modern world."

The track comes as part of the newly announced EP Agenda, which will arrive digitally on Friday (February 8) and on CD/12-inch vinyl on April 12. Following "Give Stupidity a Chance," another new song will be made available tomorrow and then another Thursday before its full release on Friday.

UPDATE (2/6, 11 a.m. EST): You can now hear the new EP track "On Social Media" down below as well.

Speaking of the new EP, Tennant said in a statement, "It contains three satirical songs and one rather sad song. I think it's because of the times we're living through."

The EP's four tracks were produced by Tim Powell and Pet Shop Boys, and recorded towards the end of 2018. However, the songs will not be included on the duo's upcoming new album, which Pet Shop Boys have revealed is being produced by Stuart Price and due for release in the autumn.

While we wait for more tracks off Agenda — as well as news of Pet Shop Boys' upcoming full-length — watch the lyric video to "Give Stupidity a Chance" below. You can learn more about Agenda and its rollout over here.
