Sackville best friends Josée Caron and Lucy Niles have announced a massive international tour from their band Partner. What's more, the duo have given us a new track, which just happens to be a cover of Rush.
On Partner's sprawling fall tour, they will be making stops all over Europe, as well as North America, supporting Titus Andronicus in the United States. The only Canadian dates so far are their show in Toronto on November 28, and the tour closer in Ottawa on November 29.

Alongside the tour announcement comes some very Canadian new music from the band. Apparently, Partner got into Rush in a big way recently, inspiring them to cover their 1981 classic "Limelight" for SiriusXM Polaris Cover Sessons.
Here's what the band had to say about the song:
We watched a documentary about Rush and we fell in love with the band. They seem like such nice guys. It caused us to hear the music in a new way, with a much deeper appreciation. By doing the cover, we hoped to pay tribute to our newfound appreciation and to expand our horizons as musicians by learning these unique and complex arrangements.
"Limelight" comes as the first recording from Partner since their EP Saturday the 14th, released earlier this year. Partner's last full-length album was their 2017 debut In Search of Lost Time.
