The Pack A.D. Announce 'Unpersons' LP

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jun 29, 2011

As previously reported, Vancouver-based bluesy garage duo the Pack A.D. have been hard at work on their fourth LP, with the aim to get the album out by this fall. Now, we have all the information on this anticipated release.

The album is called Unpersons, and was once again recorded at the Hive Studios in Vancouver with engineer Jesse Gander. This time, however, famed Detroit producer Jim Diamond (the Detroit Cobras, the White Stripes), who mastered We Kill Computers, insisted on flying out to the studio to produce the full album. The record was then mixed at his studio in Michigan.

According to a press release, the resulting album is "flawlessly produced and performed record that projects all the snarl, piss, vinegar, venom and vitriol heard on their first three albums into a realm that is distinctly their own. Any reference one may wish to make to the Kills or White Stripes is no longer relevant."

Unpersons will be available on September 13 in Canada and September 20 in the U.S. via Mint Records. A preview video for the album is available below.
