Whether driving around on a sunny day to an unspecified destination, frolicking in a field or in need of an upbeat, groovy tune to get you through your morning jog, OHMME — the talented duo of Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart — have you covered. Their sophomore LP, Fantasize Your Ghost, exemplifies how their undeniable chemistry has only increased since their 2018 debut Parts. In 33 minutes, Fantasize Your Ghost gives listeners a perfect taste of easy-listening music with a deeper message, sprinkled with explosive arrangements.

Fantasize Your Ghost is deeply concerned with questions of the self, the future, and what home means when you're travelling all the time. Written in 2019 during the band's extensive touring schedule, the album is a direct reflection of their mental state after being on the road for so long and the questions they pondered. Standout closer "After All" hones in on the reality of being on tour and the hardships of constantly having to be "on" for the public. OHMME begin the song with "Don't bark, I'll be coming back and need no one to know / I'll just be up the street dying to be alone."

Harmonizing beautifully, OHMME sound absolutely stunning while singing about some not-so-stunning realities of growing up, like on "Selling Candy," a glimpse into childhood, complete with nostalgic references to summertime, hot dogs and wandering about without a care in the world. Fantasize Your Ghost encapsulates the thrilling and sometimes terrifying joy of moving forward and finding the confidence within yourself to be exactly who you are — an album with enough depth and passion to fill a room, something you can listen to on a loop and never get bored.
