Published Sep 30, 2015Following the departure of vocalist Adrian Fitipaldes, Australian metalcore unit Northlane enlisted Marcus Bridge to lead them through their third studio record, Node, and the ensuing North American tour. Supported by the crew's careening riffs and visceral edge, his vocals have helped elevate Northlane to progressive mastery. Northlane's fan base have been loyal since the release of their debut, 2010's Hollow Existence, yet as demonstrated by the band's reception at their recent Canadian dates, the fans remain devoted to the new sound. "It's just so crazy to see people going so mental over here for just a few dudes from Australia," Bridge says in the following interview with Exclaim! TV. "Yesterday was another mental one. People just falling onto the stage and dying."
In this episode of Exclaim! TV Aggressive Tendencies, Bridge and guitarist Jon Deiley discuss their new and more dynamic sound, as well as their extensive plans for future tours. The segment also features clips from Northlane's dark and awe-inspiring video "Obelisk." Watch it in the player below.
